A couple of days ago, a friend I met through Global Medical Training at UT Austin, a fellow low income student, shared his heartfelt concern about missing his grandfather's birthday at his retirement home due to a demanding exam schedule. Touched by his story, I saw an opportunity for "Gifts for All" to bring a ray of happiness.

I decided to send a birthday gift to his grandfather, not as a gesture from our organization, but as a surprise from his grandson. On the special day, I left the gift at the retirement home's reception, to be given to his grandfather.

This act of discreet kindness was a reminder of our mission's power: to create moments of joy and connection.

In these moments, we see the true beauty of giving — not just in the gift itself, but in the love and memories it represents, especially when distance keeps loved ones apart.
